But when you come back later, there may be a whole new selection of stories to explore. Tears of the Kingdom – how to complete the A Wife Wafted Away side quest
When you first meet Fronk, he is cleaning up in front of the Inn located on a lower level near the center of Zora’s Domain. He doesn’t have much to say. That changes when you find him after clearing the Sidon of the Zora story mission, which requires you to figure out how to turn on all four faucets in the Water Temple.
Fronk fills you in on the sudden disappearance of his beloved Mei. To find Mei and complete the A Wife Wafted Away side quest, travel to the sky islands. She has gone fishing.

The easiest way to find Mei is to fast travel to Igoshen Shrine. You should have activated it while ascending to the Water Temple. From where you first appear after you fast travel, head forward but veer slightly left. Pass the stairs ascending to your right and walk to the edge of the platform.
Ahead, you will see a large island at lower elevation. If you visit during the day, as I did, there should be an obvious column of smoke rising from behind a pillar. Jump out and float across to that island. The precise location is indicated in the map screenshot above.

When you reach the island, head around the pillar to find Mei standing near a small fishing pond. There are Hearty Bass swimming in the shallow water. Talk to Mei and she will overcome her excitement long enough to feel bad about making her husband worry. Then she heads back to reunite with him.
Travel back to the surface and meet with Fronk again in Zora Domain. You will find him standing near Mei. She gives you the Hearty Fish Skewer as a reward. Also, the game marks the A Wife Wafted Away side quest as complete.
